It looks for all the world that the Andy MacPhail Era in Baltimore will come to a sad end this off-season. I have no idea how to feel about it.
Disappointed? I guess. But when you’re disappointed all the time – like, really … all the time – is still called disappointment? Or is it ennui? Not exactly. What’s the word for terminal disappointment?
I really thought MacPhail was the guy who’d bring the Orioles back. “Grow the arms, buy the bats” sounded like a pretty awesome plan. But the bats he bought … meh. Yeah, he wanted Victor Martinez.
